Merry Christmas! Thank you all so much for your amazing support. It's been a wonder-full year! Words cannot describe how grateful we are, so we've made this freebie for you to enjoy this holiday season. We hope you'll like it!
FCPX 10.4.7 or above is required to use this freebie.
Simply download the freebie, unzip it and place it inside the Titles folder to install it. Check out this tutorial if you are not sure how to install and use this freebie in Final Cut Pro X:
If the Motion Templates and Titles folders are nowhere to be found, you can create them manually:
I have installed the openers correctly and can see them but I see a big T with exclamation mark. Does that mean I am missing the font or it is incompatible with my version of FCPX?
The big T with exclamation mark error showing up is usually an incompatibility issue. Please double-check if your FCPX is updated to version 10.4.7 or above, and the freebie should be placed inside the Titles folder.
This freebie is created with the font family Avenir, default by Apple. You don’t need to download any fonts to use it. All the texts/fonts are changeable and customizable in FCPX.
The freebie should be placed inside the Titles folder (Movies/Motion Templates/Titles).
If you install it correctly and it still doesn’t show up, make sure to check if the Name & Extension of the Motion Templates and Titles folders are Motion Templates.localized and Titles.localized respectively. This tutorial will show you how to do so: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPGYTTmCI8s
If so, it can’t be moved within FCPX. However, if you have Apple Motion 5, simply double-click the file and you’ll be able to change its position in Motion.
Don’t worry about the media files. Install the freebie as shown in our tutorial and it will show up in your FCPX and work well. Also, make sure to update your FCPX to the latest version to use this freebie.

Excellent. Is it possible to move the in and finish points of the circle in Opener 2?
