Yes, I did it again guys. Here are 13 FREE callouts for you!Ā This time, leading lines are adjustable with control points, and I'll be showing you how to use motion tracking as well.
FCPX 10.4 is required to use these callouts.
Ā
Many of you have been asking about how to create the awesome motion tracking for callouts, and finally I've got some time to sit down and share with you some tips. Thank you for being patient! š
There may be other ways to achieve the same effect, and if you know any, please share with me in the comment section below!

Hi! These callouts are great, thanks! I would really like to use them but I have fcp 10.3. Do you have a compatible version? I tried cahnging the ozml and display versio, but that didn’t help. Thanks!
Great product, unfortunately after downloading it I now constantly get dire “warnings” about malware, every couple of minutes. Clicking on the notification takes me to the page of some software I can download to get rid of the supposed malware. I don’t think I really have a virus but it’s pretty annoying, this phishing.
SO maybe only download this free product if you want to be constantly phished š
I’m making a video to introduce a social welfare corporation, and hopes to use this “13 FREE callouts” in it.

Is this available under your license?
Hello! Do these 13 free callouts fall under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/)? Iād like to use them in a non-commercial video, but want to make sure I understand the licensing around these assets. Thank you!
Hello, thank you for the fast response (and for providing these awesome call-outs free for non-commercial use ā theyāre very easy and intuitive to use!).
Can I ask something regarding the freebies titles and generators?
I’ve used and still hope to use it for a longer time some of your freebies (titles 7 and callouts 10 and 11). When I open one of the movies I made with FCP 10.4.8, it gives now with 10.4.9 (perhaps a coincidence) a problem that FCP can’t find the title 7 and the previous mentioned callouts BUT they are installed so I don’t understand this.
My Titles and Generators folders are identified as localized while the underlaying folders (SVM – Titles Pack and SVM – Callouts Pack) and their subfolders aren’t localized.
Do I do something wrong or is it the behaviour of FCP 10.4.9?
This is making me upset can someone give me the direct darn path so I can installed them correctly. Just saying Movies>Motion Templates > Generators is not helping me. You would think this company would include the direct path to help you installed these things.
hi there. following the picture to install the call outs, but it seems that I do not have the GENERATORS folder.. inside the MOTION TEMPLATES folder I have a folder named EFFECTS, I have another folder from the PIXEL FILM STUDIO. I start a search for the GENERATORS folder, but it can’t be find no where…
im gonna reply myself lol.. I read more under my post and I saw someone with the same problem, and you gave to him a answer and a link, and now guess what ? everything fine and working smooth.. thank you for the call out, its a amazing job.. ))
Thanks to you guys, I am always checking your site for new freebies, these helped me a lot with my kids video.
Here’s one of them and will be using them on the new ones –>https://youtu.be/aLpYNxzaEsU
HI! I am using the callouts per the tutorial, but when I export my movie file, the keyframes points are not matching what they looked like in my project. What is the disconnect when exporting?
Awesome callouts, but I’m having difficulties following the tutorial, since FCPX looks so different now… I basically can’t find where to edit the motion tracking – any help?
That are really great callouts and thanks so much for putting them out there for free. Only slight problem I have is I don’t seem to be able to move the anchor points inside FCP 10.4.6 which means I can’t really use most of them because they sit in the wrong position on the screen. I also cannot edit them in Motion because I am on 5.2 and for some reason it just won’t update.
I do have other callouts installed and I can completely move those about within FCP so perhaps I am just not seeing something?
I downloaded the folder, but don’t have a Generators folder in my movies>motion templates. The motion templates folder is empty. I do have the Generators menu in FCPX 10.4.3, though.
Hi, I’m just learning to use motion 5 and these are great. Quick one, is there a way to scale the whole call out to make them a bit smaller, say for 720 projects? Or would you have to scale each element individually?
If you watch the tutorial video above (13 Free Callouts Update II Motion Tracking Callouts in FCPX Tutorial), at 1:05, you’ll see how to use the on-screen control to adjust a template’s scale in FCPX.
In case you don’t use FCPX, you can do that in Motion 5 as well with the on-screen control. It can be found under the OSC group.
Brilliant free plugin. However, I ran into a a strange behaviour of some of the callouts, where the start point and parts of the line went transparent. The 43 second video is made out of a panorama photo, and the “problematic” callouts happens at the left side of the photo/video at the end. Any ideas? See provided link – https://youtu.be/D6Jhz-UGhKM –
Hi there, I downloaded your free callouts and when I used them in the FCPX 10.4.2. i was not able to render – FCP was crashing each time and I had to force quit. I deleted the callouts and it worked perfectly. Not sure if you have seen anything like this before but it would be pity not to solve this one š
Hello,
I just downloaded the files, put it in the ‘generators’ folder inside the ‘Motions Template’. All of the callouts appear on the Generators -> custom bar, however, when I drag it out to put it in the video, it turn into a red photo with a yellow triangle that have a Exclamation mark on it. Please Help.
Hey I am using FCP X and it works totally fine in final cut but when I export it shows the text appearing somewhere else please fix this. this is awesome btw and thank you for doing this.
In what folder inside the motion templates folder should I put the callouts, because I tried tittles and effects and it doesn’t appear in final cut pro, neither the transitions, so far just two tittles appeared
My final cut pro slows down way alot now after downloading your callout templates, or my FCPX freezes and I would have to restart every single time. Spent the whole afternoon not even able to get one callout animation complete. And when I try to re-adjust the size of the fonts – the font automatically runs out of place when my FCPX restarts again. Please help!
Tbh, I really love the animation – but it takes forever to loads on FCPX and rendering is such hassle – taking up to an hour and all I see it’s my rainbow loading pointer. I have to constantly restarting it resulting in delays of getting just one animation done. Would there be anyway that its design for faster performance use? Like just using it as Titles instead of Generators? It isn’t very compatible in terms of altering according to the duration as desired, I would have to create compound clips after compound clips to get the duration I want – and when I’ve done doing so, it takes forever to load and add on to my project!
Thank you for creating such a great call out. When I add the call outs to my projects it crashes FCPX. I’m running FCPX 10.3.4 on a Late 2016 Macbook Pro i7 2.9Ghz, 16GB Ram, Radeon Pro 460. Does my system meet the minimum requirements to use the call outs?
I can’t find how to use them in a new Motion 5 project, because i can’t copy “rectangle”, “leading line” and “circles”.
I only could copy/paste in my new project from callout.motn these groups : OSC & Callout. But then, motion tracking for callouts is disable.
I’ve got the same problem when i want to add one of the 13 callouts in my lybrary. I try this : How to Add 12 Free Callouts to Motion 5 Library and it’s ok for the 12 free pack but not for the 13 free pack.
– I opened the file “callout 1.motn” (for example)
– I have selected all layers (Rectangle, Leading Line, Circles, OSC and Callout)
– I drag and drop all these layers in generator (using all in one file)
But when I want to use this callout in a new project, motion tracking doesn’t work.
I can move the CP1 or CP2 objects from MASTER GROUP, but nothing happens.
Motion 5 doesn’t let you copy motion tracking to the library. It means that you still can copy the whole callout project to your library, but when you drag and drop it to your new project, you will have to link the control points again.
Take Callout 1 for example:
Under “Point 1”, you’ll see Link 1 and Link 2.
For Link 1:
– Compatible Parameters: Filters – CP1 – Center – Y
– Target Parameters: Properties – Transform – Position – Y
– Y Offset: -0.5
For Link 2:
– Compatible Parameters: Filters – CP1 – Center – X
– Target Parameters: Properties – Transform – Position – X
– X Offset: -0.5
Repeat the process with “Point 2” and “Point 3” but change CP1 to CP2 and CP3 respectively. And then the callout will work perfectly.
Hi, these look great, thank you. I downloaded and installed them in the Motion templates folder and while they appear as options in FCP they don’t show in the timeline, it’s like FCP can’t find them. I also followed your tutorial on how to make the control points/lines and that works fine. I am guessing it is maybe because I have FCP 10.2.3? Do these require 10.3 to work?
Hi! These callouts are great, thanks! I would really like to use them but I have fcp 10.3. Do you have a compatible version? I tried cahnging the ozml and display versio, but that didn’t help. Thanks!

Hi there,
We’re sorry that you feel upset! š
We don’t have a tutorial video on how to install this freebie, but the installation process is the same as this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZW1f9t8if8
Please watch from the beginning to 0:30, and follow the steps to place the freebie inside the Generators folder to install it.
We hope that helps!

I had the same issue. I figured out the problem after a while! You need to add .localized to files! Heres the video that helped me solve the issue https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2KgoyYXbwY&list=LLdHIl9AyH1TT7Tt8O1G4otg&index=5&t=254s

Hello,
Is it possible to use them in an advertising, or you consider it as selling them?)
Sincerely,
Diana
Hi Diana,
Yes, you can use them in an advertising video for your product/service as long as your product/service doesn’t include selling the callouts.
Best regards,
SVM Team
Thanks for these fantasy callouts.
Can I use these callouts in my youtube video? Is there any limit (copyright or commercial use limit)? 0w0
Hi Nana,
Absolutely. You can use them in your Youtube videos without any copyright issues as long as you don’t redistribute/sell them!

I tried a lot but didn’t come over the final cut pro then I learn folder extension .now I got it so happy
HI! I am using the callouts per the tutorial, but when I export my movie file, the keyframes points are not matching what they looked like in my project. What is the disconnect when exporting?
Thank you!
I figured it out. It helps to create a compound clip, which will ensure proper keyframe placement. Note for future work in FCPX.
Awesome callouts, but I’m having difficulties following the tutorial, since FCPX looks so different now… I basically can’t find where to edit the motion tracking – any help?

You are super good, Thanks for the plugins and tutorial.
Amazing you are offering these for free. Thanks!

Hi, How do you install these callouts so they can be used? Which folder to drop these in?
Hi, I’m really happy to have found this material, it’s very good.
Unfortunately when installing the Callouts, Final Cut shows me as if something was wrong (exclamation symbol) I attach an image of my problem.

Please check this video for more information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPGYTTmCI8s

Can you make the callouts trackable in FCP or do you have to do it in Motion first and then bring it into FCP?
Hi Giselle,
Tracking can be done directly in FCPX. š

oh damn, forget my question – got it š
In what folder inside the motion templates folder should I put the callouts, because I tried tittles and effects and it doesn’t appear in final cut pro, neither the transitions, so far just two tittles appeared
Hi Susset,
Sorry I didn’t see your comment earlier. The callouts should be placed in the Generators folder inside Motion Templates.
Cheers,
Denice
Hi Nicole,
I’m happy to know you like the callouts! As they are made with tracking, your computer needs to be strong enough to run it, or else it’ll crash. š
Denice
Thank you for creating such a great call out. When I add the call outs to my projects it crashes FCPX. I’m running FCPX 10.3.4 on a Late 2016 Macbook Pro i7 2.9Ghz, 16GB Ram, Radeon Pro 460. Does my system meet the minimum requirements to use the call outs?
the links are broken
Hi,
My mac is on version 10.12.6. Each time I use these callouts my project crashes. Which is a shame as i like the ease of use
Hi! I really appreciate you sharing your amazing plugins for free!
I was wondering if it is possible to set motion tracking directly in FCP without having Motion5 ?
Hi,
I can’t find how to use them in a new Motion 5 project, because i can’t copy “rectangle”, “leading line” and “circles”.
Could you tell me how to do ?
Regards
Hi again,
Here’s what I’ve done:
– I opened the file “callout 1.motn” (for example)
– I have selected all layers (Rectangle, Leading Line, Circles, OSC and Callout)
– I drag and drop all these layers in generator (using all in one file)
But when I want to use this callout in a new project, motion tracking doesn’t work.
I can move the CP1 or CP2 objects from MASTER GROUP, but nothing happens.
What do i do wrong ?
Hello J-C!
Check out this video to see how to create control points and it’ll be easier for you to understand how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfnhrTOVjBk
Hi Allan,
Yes, you will need to have FCP 10.3.1 or above to use the callouts.
And they have to be placed in Generators folder in Motion Templates so that you can use them in FCPX.
