Hi, I have been using this pack for a while and enjoy it, but I now need to use it slightly differently and can’t figure out a good way…
I am reading from a book in a video and would like the highlighter speed to somewhat resemble the speed I’m reading at. Is there any way to slow down the highlighters? I tried keyframing the width, adding wipe transitions, keyframing trim, making a compound clip, but all of the options don’t effectively accomplish my goal, or revert the source type to the “Caption” overlay look, rather than the “Image” I need.
That’s a long way of asking: Can I slow down the highlighter speed any way? I’m willing to crack open Motion if I must, but I need a way to do this.
I puchased this a few months back and Im having issue with highlighter 7. While in final cut the highlighted text looks correct and layed out how I want it, but as soon as I export the project the highlighted portion shifts and does not cover the text.
I have messed around with it trying to expand the width all the way across the screen even, and it still cuts it off after exporting.
Yes, I have the newest version but its a different transition for the background fill. I wanted to use the “glitch” fill that highlighter 7 had in the previous version.
What is strange is it lets me align everything but shifts when I click off the highlighter title in my timeline.
Yes, the problem occurred when FCPX was updated to version 10.4. That was why we updated the Highlighter pack last month. If you’d like to use the previous version of this pack, I’m afraid the only solution is to use FCPX in older versions than 10.4.

Hi Nick,
The Highlighter pack was updated in early June. Have you downloaded and installed the updated version yet, or still using the older version?
Please email us at simplevideomaking@gmail.com with more details so we can better assist you.

Any info would help
